Weight Watchers
My wife and I started Weight Watchers this week. I'm not going to post my weight, because it is a lot. I will post my progress on this blog. Anyone who reads this, please keep us in your prayers. I plan on being General Overseer someday, and I need to stay healthy.
Update on Pastoring
It has been a long time since I last blogged. I think it's been 8 months. I wrote my previous blog after my first service at Uniontown Church of God. Well I have been there 8 months and I still love it. We had a little of 60 Sunday evening. We only had about 50 on Sunday morning. This church is the only church I've been to that has more on Sunday night than Sunday morning.
We had a singing with The Browning Family. They are a family of "little people" from Carollton, Alabama. Those folks were good. I would highly recommend them to anyone. I will post pictures soon. They blessed us.
I have been thinking about what God has accomplished at Uniontown thus far. I'll be honest. I often get tempted to look at the numbers to determine success, and while I believe behind every nose is a soul, I know that attendance isn't the only barometer of success.
So far we have organized our Girls clubs on Wednesday nights, and are working on organizing the Boys Clubs. We have completely revampted our Children's Church. If noone ele at the church is happy, the kids are. We have also seen our finances finally balance out. The people are still excited, and we have seen some of them make leaps and stides in their walks with God. God is definately blessing, and I give Him all of the glory.

First Week as a Pastor
Well,
I am currently in my first week as a pastor. We had a great service Sunday. We had about 52 in attendance. I know anytime a new pastor has his first service, people come out to see what he's all about. It will be interesting to see who all comes back next Sunday. We had a great service. I preached about "true revival." There is some momentum building in the church right now, so we are going to have to take advantage of that. The people of the church are great. They have been so welcoming. There will be more to come.

New Avenue in Life
It has been a while since I have blogged. A lot has changed, however. Tessa and I just accepted a pastorate at Uniontown Church of God in Alabama. I am going to be a senior pastor. It is a scary thing, but I know my God is faithful, and I will rely on His guidance. I am going to miss New Life though. The teens at that church amaze me. They are going to change the world. I am going to miss my family too. I am going to be over 3 hours away. God is such a faithful God. He has never let me down. This is a great church we are going to, and they have great people. I will talk more about it later.
